REASONS FOR THIS NOTICE

This page provides details of the website's management procedure with regard to the management of the personal data belonging to users who consult the website.
This policy, which is pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 - Code for the protection of personal data - is directed at those who interact with the IPZS web service in order to protect personal data which can be accessed electronically using the address:
http://www.numismaticadellostato.it which corresponds to the home page of the official site for the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato.
The policy is exclusively for the IPZS site and not for other websites which the user may access via the links.
The policy is also based on the Recommendation no. 2/2001 that the European authorities for the protection of personal data, united in the Group established by art. 29 of Directive no. 94/46/CE, adopted on 17th May 2001 in order to identify some minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online and in particular, the nature of information and how and when the data managers should present it to the users when they connect to the web page, irrespective of the reasons for the connection.

DATA CONTROLLERS AND MANAGERS

The consultation of this site by the user involves the issuing of information of a personal nature.
For this purpose, the data controller is the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato S.p.A.which is based in Rome (Italy), Via Salaria 1027, represented by the President and Managing Director.
The user's personal data is managed by parties who, pursuant to art. 30 of the Legislative Decree 196/03 are awarded the posts of Data Controller and Manager respectively, and who operate under the direct authority of the IPZS in accordance with the instructions received.
The user's personal data is also managed by parties appointed as system Administrators pursuant to the Italian Data Protection Policy of 27th November 2008 and subsequent amendments.

WHERE THE DATA IS MANAGED

The data management connected with the web services of this site take place on the aforesaid site and are handled exclusively by the technical office staff assigned with the management, or by any occasional maintenance operation staff.
No data deriving from the web service is disclosed or transmitted to third parties.
The personal data provided by users who forward requests for sending informative material (CD-ROMs, newsletters, publications, etc.) are used with the sole purpose of carrying out the service requested.

TYPES OF DATA MANAGED

Navigation Data
The computer systems and software procedures responsible for the functioning of this web site acquire some personal data in the course of their normal operation, of which transmission is implicit in the use of internet communications protocols.
This involves information which is not gathered for association with identified interested parties, but that by its very nature and via processing and associations with data held by third parties, could allow the users to be identified.
Included in this category are the IP addresses or names and domains of the computers used by the users who connect to the site, the addresses in URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation of the requested resources, when the request was made, how the request was made to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the server response (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the operating system and the user's computer desktop environment.
This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and in order to ensure it is functioning correctly. The data is immediately deleted by the server 7 days after the processing.
The data may be used in order to establish liability in the event of any computer crimes which damage the website: with the exception of this possibility, the data on web contacts will not be held by the Italian state for more than 180 days.
Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, express and voluntary sending of electronic mail to the addresses indicated on this site result in the subsequent acquisition of the address of the sender, required in order to respond to the request, as well as any other personal data contained in the message.
Cookies
No personal data belonging to the users is intentionally acquired by the site.
Cookies are not used for the transmission of information of personal nature and nor are the so-called cookies of any type or systems for tracking users persistently used.
The so-called computer session cookies used on this site avoid the need to resort to other computer methods which can be potentially harmful to the safety of the user's navigation, and they do not allow the acquisition of the user's personal identification data.
The only lasting computer session cookies used on the site, with the purpose of aiding the user, are those relating to the selection of the displayed coins.

OPTION OF CONFERRING DATA

With the exception of that specified for the navigation data, the user is at liberty to provide the personal data recorded in the request forms to IPZS or indicated when contacting the Istituto in order to request for informative material or other communications to be sent.
Failure to confer these may result in the request being rejected.
For the sake of completeness it must be remembered that in some cases (not subject to the ordinary management of the site) the Authority can request information under the law of art. 157 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003, for the purposes of controlling the management of personal data. In these cases it is obligatory to respond and failure to do so may result in administrative penalties.

METHOD AND PURPOSE OF MANAGEMENT

The personal data is managed using computer/electronic tools for purposes which are strictly essential to the consultation of the www.numismaticadellostato.it website as well as for the purpose of connections and/or tools for its consultation. The management of data will occur via tools and methods pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30th June 2003 and in compliance with the existing laws in force.
Specific safety measures shall be observed in order to prevent the loss of data, unlawful or incorrect use and non authorised access.

RIGHTS OF THE INTERESTED PARTIES

The parties which the personal data refers to reserve the right to obtain confirmation of whether or not the data exists and to find out its contents and origin, verify its correctness or ask for its integration, update or amendment (art. 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/3003).
Pursuant to the same article, parties are entitled to ask for the deletion, transformation into an anonymous form or the blocking of any data managed in breach of law, and to object to their management for legitimate reasons.
